Jacqui has had a passion for news her entire life. Prior to working at Captivate Network, she fine-tuned her news and web skills as a morning-show producer for WFLX Fox 29 in West Palm Beach, Fla. In that position, she worked overnights and now promises she will never take a good night’s sleep for granted. Jacqui was also an associate producer for its sister station, WPEC News 12 CBS.

In grad school, she reported and produced segments for the CNN Student News and contributed to its web site. Jacqui earned her master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in Boston, Mass., where she was honored with the school’s Dennis Kauff Award for Excellence in Writing and Reporting for a package she co-produced on Locks of Love, an organization she has also covered in Indulge. She received a bachelor’s of science in marketing from the University of Tampa.

In writing Indulge, Jacqui covers anything new, interesting and out of the ordinary in the world of spa treatments, fashion, health trends, relaxation techniques and more. She enjoys interviewing experts and has done pieces with SpaFinder President Susie Ellis, hairstylists Sally Hershberger and Allen Edwards; makeup artists Monica Olsen and Rosie Jane Johnston; Oprah’s personal eyebrow guru Anastasia Soare; and Nicole Paxson, founder of Nicole Paxson cosmetics.

Jacqui also may have played a role in your family dinner with one of the recipes she’s selected for Captivate’s Cooking blog. She seeks out dishes that range from unique to inexpensive to healthy -- and if she can find one with all those attributes, all the better for you! Jacqui encourages viewers to submit their own recipes to run on Captivate Network screens and on the Cooking blog.

When not blogging or creating news updates, Jacqui is responsible for the Captivate Spotlights, themed days where one area is highlighted prominently on Captivate Network. Topics have ranged from March Madness to Earth Day and even ‘kicking the winter blahs.’ It’s a hands-on effort by all the editors and has been very popular.
